DMV Muslim League runs competitive basketball and soccer across DC, Maryland and Virginia. The fixtures are the reason people commit; the standing weekly appointment with the same forty faces is what they actually stay for.

It started as a group chat
A handful of friends in Central Jersey wanted competitive basketball that did not feel like a strangers’ pickup run. They wanted to know who they were guarding, to pray together before tip-off, and to eat together after. That was CJML.

It turned into a league
Fixtures, standings, real scorekeeping, a season that ends in a final. The structure was the point — showing up every week for people who are expecting you is what turns a game into a community.

Now it is a franchise
Muslim League is the model, and any city can run it. DMV ML is the DC, Maryland and Virginia chapter — same format, same values, our own pitch and our own people.
